Love’s child

“I am a child of love.” ~ Rumi

When you are in love, many things do not matter. Everyone around us thinks us to be insane, but we continue to bask in love. We enjoy that very moment and we are oblivious to everything else. The true nature of love is to let go of everything. Any fault does not matter for love. You do not expect anything except that you be in that love. Nothing else matters. Remember the time you were in absolute love, you did not want to eat, sleep, talk, move or do anything. You just enjoyed being in that moment, in that love completely. That love is precious, rare and unique to yourself. It is also true that what you feel at peace with the moment, might not be for someone else. Every individual has that moment of love, that moment which they do not want to give away. Love increases multifold if you are able to have a conversation in silence with the beloved. It is not words that grow love, it is the lack of it. If you are able to quietly communicate, your thoughts and feelings expand multifold. It is such a wonderful feeling to be in love and be loved, and understand and be understood and be romantic and be romanced – all without uttering a word, without an action. A mere glance of an eye, the presence of the beloved or just a simple thought of the other – gives you so much peace and love.

We all are made of just pure love, all we need to do is to unlock the heart.

When you are a child of love, you just live now. You are devoid of expectations and just want to enjoy the moment. More than anything, you are a child. A child has no pre-conceived notions, nor expectations of tomorrow. The child just resonates with the present and enjoys the moments around it. He or She smiles to the environment and does nothing but to emanate love. The child just melts away your thoughts and brings you to realize the precious moments of love. Being with that child just makes you calmer. When you start being in love and emanate love unconditionally to everyone around you, you become that child, you make the place more peaceful and calmer. You do not distinguish from one to another. The love in your heart for your beloved, emanates to everyone around you. You give and receive love. The more unconditional it is, the better the environment becomes. You just become the centerpiece of attention in any place you are. People naturally come towards you, no one can reject true love, everyone needs a bit of pure love, everyone gravitates towards love.

Be a child, a love’s child. That innocence of not differentiating anyone to receive your pure love, that love which does not have any expectations of the future nor the memories of the past, that love which is unconditional, that love which makes everyone bask in your positive thoughts, that love which has nothing to offer except peace and that love which never ends. All you have to do is to open up!

Ocean drop

“You are not a drop in the ocean, You are the entire ocean in a drop.” ~ Rumi

We are easily overwhelmed. When we look at our world and the universes’ beyond that, we realize we are really tiny. At the same time, we own this universe, our own way. We do pride ourselves about being here and taking what is available to us as granted. We are swinging most of our times imagining to be the rulers of our own world where our ego takes over us and sometimes feeling really small in all the grandeur around. We are belittled by others and sometimes by ourselves. Duality owns us and we keep swinging. The duality of remembering that we are small and at the same time being one with the universe. To remain conscious at both levels is quite difficult – because it needs us to kill the ego. When you are one with nature and you realise that you are no different from it, ego gets replaced with oneness. Is it possible to constantly remember that you are part of the all powerful universe and that you have the same qualities all within you – at the same time remain grounded? How can you remove the “you” but get totally replaced with “us” – which is being with the larger you and larger ocean.

Being one with the world replaces “you”. Then, you are the universe.

When you see yourself with immense potential – the grandeur of what this universe offers, the energy in which creation happens, the perfection in which the dance of nature performs, the uniformity in evolution, the love of souls binding every second – all of it makes sense. You can become what is reflected in this amazing universe. Everything has a reason to happen this way and your faith is totally restored in trust of destiny. You are here for a reason and that reason is what drives the larger existence as well. You are definitely not alone – every soul on this planet can dance with you in unison. You can be at peace with the same frequency which guides this manifestation of the wonderful nature. All you need is to discover your tune, discover your steps, discover your act and just let go. Your performance in this great play will automatically begin. You will lose yourself. Your identity will no longer matter. You are the universe, you are the ocean. When a drop merges with the ocean, it loses itself. It no longer identifies itself as a drop. When a breath merges with the atmosphere, it loses itself. It is not with pain, it is not with agony – just being so natural. Where it really belongs. Losing the ego in pleasure is an amazing feeling. You just have to re-discover. You already know it.

Go ahead, find yourself and the potential you have – which is not different. Do not force to do anything, once you find the rythym, you hear the already manifested song. You will automatically let go of yourself – as that is the place where you rightly belong. Any place is magical – as you are in sync, one with the universe. It is such a bliss.

Empty weakness

“Give your weakness to one who helps.” ~ Rumi

We have been living in a world where showing your weakness is considered really bad. When you cannot express weakness and if it has a negative connotation, why would you even uncover your weakness? We have become so used to not just seeing it, but live in a state of denial about our weakness. Only when we know what is less, we can then seek for it. There must not be any hindrances in us to go and seek what is missing in us. Accepting that we do not have someone or something is the first step towards getting there. Why do we have to see weakness in a negative light? What you do not have or possess is something that you can get or acquire. Why make a big issue out of it? When you are able to see weaknesses in this light – first acceptance is born. You accept yourself that you have some and you do not have some other. There is absolutely no right or wrong. That comes only in a state of pure acceptance. Denial has no place in this, denial is living in a constant veil of a misconception. The minute you remove denial, everything is fine. what you have and what you do not have. These lines of Rumi are part of a longer poem, which has these lines too.

Crying out loud and weeping are great resources. A nursing mother, all she does is wait to hear her child. Just a little beginning-whimper, and she’s there.

The more you deny, the more weak you get. Let go and you are free.

What we are taught is to contain and not display our weaknesses. It is true that the more we keep them, they stay with you, making you more weak. Why deny something which you do not want? If you do not want something you must let it go, or fill it with what can take that away. You have to cry out loud of your weakness. You must believe that someone is there to take care of your weakness. A mother is always waiting for the child’s cry. She knows what to do to remove that weakness of the child. The more the child contains, the more it suffers. The minute the mother knows, the pain is gone. You have to first know where and how you are weak, say it aloud, be open and willing to let go. You do not need to be weak, you need the strength and someone is willing to give you that. Only when you consciously know what you need, you will find it. Only when you are empty, you can fill yourself. Never let weaknesses fill you, for there is no space for strength. Pour it out so your mother will come. The mother who can nurse all your wants.

There is no point of being a stone. You are made of emotions and weaknesses. There is absolutely no denial in that, let the emotions flow, let your tears out, howl in knowing your weakness – goodness and strength awaits to fill you up!

True Love

Love is nothing other than finding the truth. ~Rumi

(I am choosing to take two paths to understand the line, the first is about seeing the truth being painful, second will be truth being bliss!, so two posts on this!)

We are ridden by the present world, where to keep love – we have to cover up. We have to keep ourselves from what we like just to survive the love we know of. Deceit is the new name for love, anger its companion, cheat its accomplice. We hanker to find the new solace, knowing well that even if that was the truth, we have to hide it to keep what we have going. We individually have lost the sense and love to accept nature, accept what we know as truth and transcend our love beyond that. It has also become the norm that we do not want to know the truth, as to accept the truth we have to go beyond being possessive. Possessiveness is the root killer of true love. The more we hold on to what we love, the more we suffocate and the more we want to mask the truth. The classic case of deceit happens only when we hold on to the ones we love beyond what that love can even bear. Truth many times hurts, hurts bad. Like we spoke earlier finding the truth is also a great way to let our ego die sooner. How many of us can take that truth and move our love beyond?

Growing our love even after realising truth might hurt is real unconditional love.

Someone had said earlier, “If you really love something, let it go. If it comes back to you – it truly belonged to you, else not”. When we see our loved one liking someone or something else more than they do to us, we cannot accept it. We want to hold on tightly to that person, so that they won’t leave us. We grow more and more possessive and become ridden with suspicion. We cannot bear the thought of that person leaving us because the truth is that we are insecure. We are scared of loneliness, being left out and dumped. That is more forceful than the actual love we share for that person. On the other hand if we help that person explore their freedom, be unconditional and still share your feelings – no matter whether that person chooses to stay with you or leave – your love does not die. You end up growing your love. Knowing the true love is all about letting go, accept what comes as real even if its not pleasant and love unconditionally. It is a great feeling!
